It is very important that you build the right base for your new garden building so the building does not deteriorate.
By not having the correct base it can lead to all kinds of problems, water can leak into the building, doors can drop and panels can break.
At Harker Garden Buildings LTD we can build the base for you, we offer two options; A slab base which is constructed on level ground using 2′ x 2′ concrete slabs, sand, gravel and a cement finish.
We can also build your base using concrete, however this option is slightly more expensive and can be priced only on each application.

Prices includes supply and fitting of 2′ x 2′ flagstones on a dry/gravel and cement mix with a timber shutter where possible.
Poured concrete bases – P.O.A
For the perfect foundation for the construction of a garden building. Check the weather forecast. If wet weather is forecast cover the concrete with polythene for 24-hours.
In warm weather, cover the base with damp sacks and sprinkle them with water, this will ensure the drying concrete will not shrink and crack. The result is a smooth, sound, level base.
A concrete slab base needs to be installed in advanced to your garden building to ensure it has enough time to set properly before a building is installed on top of it; if the base is not properly set this can lead to condensation within your new garden building.
If you are preparing the base yourself then please allow enough distance from hedges or fences for easy access to all sides.
